The program, dubbed Simplicity Sprint, was introduced at an all-hands meeting July 27. The aim of the initiative is to crowdsource ideas for quicker product development.
Three things to know about the new program:
- Through Aug. 15, Google employees will be able to share their ideas through an internal survey that asks if management can reach out if they have follow-up questions.
- The initiative aims to get better results faster as the company is struggling with productivity.
- The initiative comes as Google reported a slowed revenue growth of 13 percent in the quarter from 62 percent a year earlier.
