Additionally, 59 percent of healthcare IT professionals said cyberattacks increased the length of patient stays.
The Ponemon Institute is a think tank based in Washington, D.C. The study interviewed 600 health IT professionals across 100 healthcare facilities. More than half of these facilities had been targeted with a ransomware attack in the past three years, the report said.
