Here are three key findings from the report, outlining the year in terms of cybersecurity.
1. In the first 10 months of 2015, healthcare was the industry with the most compromised records at 34 percent. Computer services followed at 32 percent, government at 25 percent and financial at 7 percent.
2. In almost half of healthcare breaches, the victim organization has not yet disclosed the type of attack. The report indicates this may be because they did not know the type of attack when the breach went public or the investigation was still ongoing.
3. Of the type of healthcare cyberattacks disclosed, 18 percent were a physical theft, 11 percent were malware, 11 percent were phishing, and 7 percent were misconfiguration.
