On Dec. 31, CMS extended a request for information called “Certification Frequency and Requirements for the Reporting of Quality Measures Under CMS Programs.” CMS seeks comments regarding health IT certification, including EHR products used to report quality measures, as well as how often recertification should be required.

“Since we requested the public’s comments on several options, we believe that it is important to allow ample time for the public to prepare their comments,” according to the notice in the Federal Register.
