Technologies for the list were selected based on nominations. To be considered, the technologies had to meet four criteria — significant clinical impact and patient benefit over current technology, likelihood of commercial success, market availability starting 2015 and significant human interest in application/benefits. The list includes:
1. Mobile stroke units
2. Dengue fever vaccine
3. Quick, painless, low-cost blood testing
4. PCSK9 inhibitors for cholesterol reduction
5. Antibody-drug conjugates chemotherapy
6. Immune checkpoint inhibitors
7. Leadless cardiac pacemaker
8. New drugs for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
9. Single-dose intra-operative radiation therapy for breast cancer
10. New drug for heart failure Angiotensin-receptor neprilysin inhibitor
