The expansion is a result of the hospital’s successes with its allergy and asthma telemedicine clinic in Wichita.
“I think it’s great that I can provide the convenience for the families,” said Jay Portnoy, MD, division director for allergy, asthma and immunology at Children’s Mercy. “Most people really don’t find a difference between face-to-face and telemedicine once they start in. The technology disappears.”
