With Synzi’s platform, AHUV can create and deliver text messages to automatically remind patients of upcoming procedures, such as nuclear or PET scans. The platform aims to help the hospital ensure that patients adhere to the required preparations, such as not eating, the day before the procedure.
The platform also helps AHUV reduce no-show rates among nuclear medicine patients. The hospital orders nuclear tracing tests for these patients prior to their individual exams at a specific date and time because the tracer cannot be used hours later or by another patient, said Jason Wells, president at AHUV, according to the news release.
AHUV is a 78-bed, nonprofit hospital that performs more than 43,000 radiology tests annually.
