The service is available to any clients of plans from Anthem or its subsidiaries dating back to 2004, according to Anthem’s breach website. Blue Cross Blue Shield customers who used their insurance in states where Anthem operates, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin, are also eligible.

AllClear ID PRO, which includes an identity theft insurance policy, is also available at no cost to Anthem customers who wish to enroll any time within the next 24 months. Customers without Internet access can call AllClear ID’s call centers for assistance. AllClear ID’s product for children, ChildScan, is also being provided.

If a client is impacted by identity theft, AllClear ID investigators work with him or her to restore financial losses and repair credit damage. The company was also tapped to provide the identity protection services for Home Depot and The UPS Store after their data breaches, according to Forbes.
