Aetna’s New App to Allow Patients to Monitor Own Health Data

Aetna’s upcoming smartphone app will allow patients to monitor their own health-tracking data, according to an MIT Technology Review report.

The CarePass app can integrate data like prescriptions, physician visits and cholesterol records with information pulled from wearable tracking devices like Fitbit to provide personalized health tracking information and recommendations, according to the report.

 

The app will also provide users with access to iTriage diagnosis software, which was acquired by Aetna last year, according to the report.
