Here are four major complaints when it comes to selecting and purchase IT products.

• Disorganized requirements gathering: 38.4 percent
• Getting stakeholders to agree: 19.6 percent
• Managing requests for information and requests for proposals: 21.6 percent
• Establishing a shortlist of reliable vendors: 17.3 percent

“As expected, budgetary challenges are pervasive this year. But deep-rooted frustration with IT selection and sourcing practices clearly indicates a need for improvement in the technology decision-making process within most organizations” said Ram Karan, vice president of customer success at SelectHub.

The survey respondents included CIOs, CTOs, IT sourcing and procurement specialists, IT architects and analysts, business managers and more.
