Artifact Health’s platform enables health system physicians to respond to a query quickly and in a compliant manner via their phones. This makes it easier for coding staff to clarify physician documentation and ensure accurate coding and billing.
Western Maryland Health System offers a range of general and specialty services in Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. It includes two hospitals as well as diagnostic centers, urgent care facilities and primary care centers.
Kimberly Repac, CFO of the health system, noted every physician answer to a query is automatically sent to the system’s Meditech EMR.
“Integrating Artifact with our EMR helps ensure our records are accurate and we receive proper reimbursement,” she said.
