Washington State Selects Medicaid Managed Care Provider

The Washington Health Care Authority recently chose Coordinated Care Corporation, a subsidiary of health insurer Centene Corporation, as the managed care provider for the state’s 840,000 Medicaid beneficiaries, according to a Centene news release.

The WHCA and Centene will finalize contracts by the end of February, and Medicaid beneficiaries can enroll in services by the third quarter of this year, according to the release.

Centene now operates health plans in 15 states.
