Singing River CEO Kevin Holland announced the job cuts in a “state of the system” report.
“After a thorough analysis, we’ve identified a total of 14 positions across the system to be eliminated, a few of which are open positions that will not be replaced,” Mr. Holland said, according to the report.
Mr. Holland also gave an update on the system’s financial status based on an audited financial statement for the first six months of the system’s current fiscal year. Last year, Singing River posted a $35 million loss, and the system posted a $4.8 million loss for the first six months of this fiscal year.
Mr. Holland recognized the organization still has significant work to do regarding its finances. However, he said the system is proud of the progress it has made, according to the report.
