S&P raises Freeman Health System’s rating to ‘A-‘

Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services has raised its rating on Joplin, Mo.-based Freeman Health System’s series 2012, series 2011 and series 2015 fixed rate bonds to “A-” from “BBB+.”

“The upgrade is based on Freeman’s solid financial performance in fiscal 2015 and through the first three quarters of 2016,” said S&P credit analyst Patrick Zagar.

The outlook is stable, reflecting S&P’s expectation that Freeman’s steady financial performance and volumes will continue.
