S&P assigns ‘A+’ rating to Salem Health’s bonds

S&P Global Ratings has assigned an “A+” long-term rating to Salem (Ore.) Health’s series 2016A bonds and affirmed the existing “A+” long-term and underlying ratings on Salem Health.

“The rating assignment and affirmation reflects maintenance of a very strong financial profile combined with a strong enterprise profile,” said S&P analyst Martin Arrick. “The rating also reflects the sharp reduction in pro forma maximum annual debt service (MADS) and improved MADS coverage as a result of this refunding transaction.”

The outlook is stable.
