The power company, which is $9 billion in debt, is not alone amongst government agencies in Puerto Rico cracking down on debts owed, according to the report — Puerto Rico currently has $70 billion in public debt.

The Electric Power Authority did wait until all surgeries ended to cut off the hospital’s power supply, according to the report. The hospital reported late Thursday that a judge ruled in favor of restoring power, though no time frame was given, according to the report.
