Scottsbluff, Neb.-based Regional West has signed an executive management agreement with CGS Health, a third-party administrator headquartered in Darien, Conn., ahead of a planned sale of Regional Care Inc.’s assets on Dec. 1.
The agreement marks a strategic shift for Regional West Health Services — the parent company of Regional West Medical Center — as it refocuses on patient care delivery while positioning RCI for growth under new ownership.
“Regional West is dedicated to enhancing healthcare services in our region, and to achieve this, we needed to concentrate our efforts in the delivery of patient care,” Regional West President and CEO Ned Resch said in a Nov. 3 news release. “We are proud to have found an acquirer in CGS Health that recognizes its potential. Their experience in third-party administration and focus on growth will ensure that RCI continues to thrive and expand opportunities in Scottsbluff and beyond.”
CGS Health, an independent third-party administrator, provides integrated, tech-enabled health solutions to self-funded employers. Its offerings include medical management, pharmacy benefits administration and stop-loss programs.
“RCI has earned the confidence of employers and members through decades of personal service. Being acquired by CGS Health preserves RCI’s local roots while extending its reach and resources. We are excited to work together to deliver measurable results for employers and improved experiences for members,” CGS Health CEO Michael Pastor said.
