In the first seven months of Erlanger’s fiscal year, the health system lost $12.5 million, and trustees do expect the hospital to turn a profit until April, according to the report.
Erlanger’s net days in accounts receivable are about 68 days, far above the national target of 55 days or below. The health system also currently has roughly $12 million due on Medicare accounts.
