Moody’s assigns ‘Aa3’ rating to University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics bonds

Moody’s Investor Service has assigned an “Aa3” rating to Madison-based University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics’ proposed revenue bonds, affecting  $450 million of debt.

The rating, along with Moody’s affirmation of the “Aa3” rating on the system’s outstanding bonds, reflects the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics’ role within UW Health and its continued transformation from academic medical center to integrated delivery system, along with the system’s strong balance sheet resources.

The rating outlook is stable.
