Instead of receiving separate statements for each service, a patient will receive one consolidated, itemized bill at the end of the month. Patients can choose to pay for the services separately or in full.

CoxHealth, a Springfield, Mo.-based nonprofit health system, expects to consolidate its billing system as well.
