In states that expanded their Medicaid programs under the PPACA, enrollment in Medicaid and CHIP has increased an average of 17 percent since Oct. 1, 2013, while enrollment has only increased by 3 percent in states that have not expanded Medicaid.
The figures in report did not include data from Connecticut, Maine and North Dakota, as those states did not provide data to CMS.
