Here are three things to know.
1. The gift will help integrate behavioral health professionals into Lahey Health’s primary care practices and will support a student assistance program, which provides school-based support to students who are struggling with mental health.
2. The Cummings Foundation will provide the gift in annual installments over three years. Each year the foundation will give $150,000 for the primary care physician integration, $150,000 for the student assistance program and $33,000 for fundraising initiatives.
3. “This generous gift from Cummings Foundation will enable us to more than double the number of behavioral health clinicians in community settings across the Lahey network,” said Hilary Jacobs, President of Lahey Health Behavioral Services. “As a result, we will improve access to behavioral health services for thousands more people in the communities we serve.”
