The hospital’s services will be consolidated with 40-bed Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington, which is a joint venture between Kindred, Arlington-based Texas Health Resources and Dallas-based Methodist Health System.
All positions at Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital will be eliminated, resulting in 92 employees being laid off.
“We will try our best to transition employees to our South Arlington campus, or other opportunities within the Kindred organization, as available,” Russ Bailey, vice president of operations for Kindred, wrote in a letter to the Texas Workforce Commission, according to the report.
