The collaborative consists of Froedtert Health, Children’s Hospital, the Medical College of Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Marquette University. Other partners include Milwaukee School of Engineering, the BloodCenter of Wisconsin and the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center. All the organizations are based in Milwaukee.
The healthcare organizations would rely on the academic expertise of the colleges, particularly economics and business. UW-Milwaukee, for example, recently established the Supply Chain Management Institute, from which the health systems plan to draw insight.
The collaboration will most likely evolve into a long-term partnership, according to the report.
