An HCA entity, Edward White Hospital, Inc., has filed a lawsuit, claiming the appraised value of $5.4 million that the 2015 tax bill was based on is too high for a vacant property, reports SaintPetersBlog. The hospital was operational during 2013 and most of 2014, and its assessed value for those years was $5.3 million and $5.5 million, respectively
The director of the Florida Department of Revenue, the property appraiser and tax collector are named as defendants in the suit.
