Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the largest increase in share price, with shares rising 2.2 percent last week.
King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services saw its share price rise 0.4 percent last week, the least of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.
Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America and Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare saw their share prices fall.

- HCA Holdings (Nashville, Tenn.): $77.12 per share (down 1 percent)
- LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $66.30 per share (up 1 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $27.98 per share (down 1.6 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $134.11 per share (up 0.4 percent)
