5 Hospital Finance Executives Who Are Medical Debt Collection Leaders

Earlier this year, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Association of Credit and Collection Professional assembled a task force to create a common set of best practices for the fair resolution of patients’ medical bills.

Many stakeholders served on the task force, including providers, consumer advocates and healthcare finance firms. Five of the members were high-ranking executives at hospitals or health systems:

•    Brian Argo, vice president and chief revenue officer at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.

•    Mary Lee DeCoster, vice president of revenue cycle at Maricopa Integrated Health System in Phoenix

•    John Majchrzak, CFO of Touchette Regional Hospital in Centerville, Ill.

•    Robert Mueller, vice president of revenue cycle at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho

•    Diane Watkins, vice president of revenue cycle at Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, Mo.
