5 children's hospitals with strong finances

Here are five children's hospitals with strong operational metrics and solid financial positions according to recent reports from Moody's Investors Service.

Note: This is not an exhaustive list. Hospital names were compiled from recent credit rating reports and are listed in alphabetical order.

1. Boston Children's Hospital has an "Aa2" rating and stable outlook with Moody's. The hospital has a leading reputation for pediatric clinical care and positive operating margins, according to Moody's.

2. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has an "Aa2" rating and stable outlook with Moody's. The system has a track record of strong margins and liquidity, according to Moody's.

3. Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, has an "Aa2" rating and stable outlook with Moody's. CCMC has a leading market position, strong liquidity measures and favorable operating performance, according to Moody's.

4. Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, has an "Aa2" rating and stable outlook with Moody's. The hospital has a dominant and growing market position, strong cash flow margins and solid revenue growth, according to Moody's.

5. Texas Children's Hospital has an "Aa2" rating and stable outlook with Moody's. The Houston-based hospital is a national leader in pediatric care and has solid revenue growth, according to Moody's.
