Four hospitals and health systems received a credit downgrade during the past month, according to a report from HFA Partners.

The hospitals and health systems receiving credit downgrades included the following:

  • Care New England Health System (Providence, R.I.) — from BBB- to BB (S&P)
  • Mercy Hospital (Iowa City, Iowa) — from A3 to Baa2 (Moody’s)
  • Mission (Texas) Hospital — from Baa3 to Ba2 (Moody’s)
  • Reading (Pa.) Hospital — from AA- to A+ (Moody’s)
