Travis Doering is a fellowship-trained hand, upper extremity and peripheral nerve surgeon and the founder of Upper Extremity ATX and Regen ATX, two co-located independent practices in Austin, Texas.
Upper Extremity ATX provides insurance-based surgical care from shoulder to fingertip, while Regen ATX offers concierge orthobiologics and performance medicine. Both launched in June 2026 within Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital, where Dr. Doering is also a physician-owner.
He completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship at Campbell Clinic and his orthopedic surgery residency at Northwell Health, where he served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and his undergraduate degree from Amherst College, with earlier research at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Doering’s clinical practice is built around pushing the boundaries of wide-awake hand surgery, muscle-sparing shoulder arthroplasty, transparent and alternative pricing models, and musculoskeletal longevity. He also maintains a deep interest in the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine.
