Tiffany Murdock is senior vice president and chief nursing and clinical excellence officer at Ochsner Health, where she leads more than 10,000 nurses and nurse leaders in advancing clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
She also oversees the organization’s system strategy for quality and safety, patient experience, patient throughput, and post-acute care. Since joining Ochsner in 2023, Dr. Murdock has championed initiatives that strengthen the nurse and patient experience and promote professional growth.
Under her leadership, Ochsner expanded virtual nursing to more than 615 beds and implemented new quality tools and an automated scheduling platform designed to reduce administrative burden. These efforts have contributed to one of the lowest nursing turnover rates in the nation and recognition as a Top Workplace for Nurses in 2025. In her role as chief excellence officer, she oversees key indicators in Ochsner’s work to redesign its care delivery model.
Before joining Ochsner, Dr. Murdock served as CEO of Singing River Health System and held nursing leadership roles at St. Joseph Health System in California and Asante Health in Oregon.
She also serves on the board of KidSmart, a New Orleans nonprofit. Dr. Murdock holds a bachelor’s and master’s in nursing, an MBA in healthcare administration, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in public health executive leadership.
