Susan Stacey, MBA, BSN, RN, serves as chief executive of the Providence Inland Northwest Washington service area, leading Spokane’s largest healthcare system. Her career at Renton, Wash.-based Providence began in 1983 as a nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit, and she went on to help launch the organization’s children’s hospital in 2004. Throughout her career she has served in roles including executive director of children’s hospital and women’s services, director for the orthopedic service line and PICU nurse manager before serving as COO and chief nursing officer for Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. Ms. Stacey took over as chief executive of the Providence Inland Northwest Washington service area in February 2022 and serves on numerous boards, including the Washington State University Healthcare Advisory Board, Greater Spokane Inc., the Washington State Hospital Association and the YMCA of the Inland Northwest.
