Co-Chief, HSS Spine; Chief Medical Officer, HSS Florida Hospital for Special Surgery

Sheeraz Qureshi is co-chief of HSS Spine at the Hospital for Special Surgery and chief medical officer of HSS Florida.

He holds the Patty and Jay Baker Chair in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and is internationally recognized as a leader in minimally invasive and motion-sparing spine surgery.

Dr. Qureshi joined HSS in 2017 and was appointed co-chief of HSS Spine, a multidisciplinary center for spinal care, in 2022. He was named chief medical officer of HSS Florida in 2024, a role in which he oversees clinical operations and quality across all HSS Florida locations and for HSS at NCH.

He runs one of the busiest clinical practices in the country, performing nearly 300 minimally invasive spine procedures annually.

His clinical practice focuses on minimally invasive and motion-sparing spine procedures using the latest available technologies.

Dr. Qureshi is a founding member and treasurer of the Minimally Invasive Spine Study Group.
