Dr. Knoer has extensive experience leading pharmacy services in large integrated delivery networks. He is the former Chief Pharmacy Officer at MercyOne in Iowa where he was responsible for pharmacy services at the forty-owned and affiliated Trinity hospitals across the state.
He has also served as Chief Pharmacy Officer at Cleveland Clinic, overseeing their global pharmacy operations in the US in Ohio and Florida; Toronto, Ontario Canada; Abu Dhabi, UAE and London, England.
Dr Knoer also led pharmacy services at the University of Minnesota, Fairview and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Knoer has also broad pharmacy experience outside of hospitals and health-systems. He served as Chief Pharmacy and Innovation Officer at Hims and Hers, a Telehealth company and as the CEO of the American Pharmacists Association.
Dr. Knoer has served the profession extensively through involvement in professional organizations at the local, state, and national levels. He has published widely on a variety of pharmacy and leadership topics. He is a frequently invited lecturer to state, national, and international audiences. He is often quoted as a health care expert on a broad array of topics in newspaper, radio, and television outlets.
