Sai Yendamuri is chief strategy officer and senior vice president of business development and outreach at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he also serves as CEO of RPCI Oncology, P.C., the center’s care network.
In these roles, he helps shape Roswell Park’s strategic vision, advance partnerships and expand innovative cancer care services to patients and communities across the region and beyond. Dr. Yendamuri is also a professor of oncology and chair of thoracic surgery at Roswell Park, where he is recognized as a leading surgeon-scientist in thoracic surgical oncology. He maintains a highly active clinical practice focused on complex thoracic malignancies and is respected regionally, nationally and internationally for his expertise in the surgical management of lung and thoracic cancers.
As co-director of Roswell Park’s Thoracic Surgery Research Laboratory, Dr. Yendamuri leads a research program examining the role of obesity in lung cancer initiation and progression.
He also leads pioneering research on the use of photodynamic therapy to enhance immune responses to checkpoint inhibition in thoracic malignancies and oversees several active clinical trials in the area. A prolific researcher, he has published approximately 225 manuscripts in thoracic oncology. Dr. Yendamuri earned an MBA in strategic management from the Wharton School’s Executive MBA Program.
