Associate CPO, Pharmacy Finance and Supply Chain Duke Health

Roya Tran serves as associate chief pharmacy officer for pharmacy finance and supply chain at Duke Health in Durham, North Carolina.

In this role she oversees the financial and supply-chain dimensions of pharmacy operations, including drug procurement strategy, 340B program oversight and regulatory compliance across a complex academic health system.

Before joining Duke, she served as director of the 340B program and drug supply management at MaineHealth and as assistant director of 340B programs at UNC Health, where she also worked as a 340B coordinating pharmacist. Her earlier experience includes managing pharmacy inpatient services at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Tran earned her doctor of pharmacy from the University of Florida and a master of science from the University of Houston.

She completed PGY1 and PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration residency training at Houston Methodist. Her background positions her at the intersection of pharmacy finance, supply-chain resilience and the economics of medication access at health-system scale.
