Regina Foley, PhD, RN

President, Specialty Hospitals and Clinical Services, Chief Nurse Executive Hackensack Meridian Health

Regina Foley is president of specialty hospitals and clinical services and chief nurse executive for Hackensack Meridian Health.

She has been an integral member of the Hackensack Meridian team for more than three decades, advancing from nurse to hospital leader to network executive. Among her accomplishments, Dr. Foley led several hospitals to achieve Leapfrog A grades, five-star ratings, and Magnet designations for nursing excellence, and she was instrumental in developing New Jersey’s first satellite emergency department. She has guided extensive changes across the network’s portfolio, including its financial recovery from the pandemic and the design of its COVID-19 vaccination program.

Dr. Foley serves as a board member of the New Jersey Hospital Association and of Georgian Court and Monmouth universities. Her honors include recognition among Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Women in Leadership, the NJHA Distinguished Service Award, NJBIZ Best Fifty Women in Business, and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanitarian in Health Care Award. She has also volunteered as a nurse in Haiti for more than 20 years.

Dr. Foley earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an MBA from Monmouth University and completed a Master of Science in Nursing and a PhD at Kean University.
