Peggy Norton-Rosko, DNP, RN

Peggy Norton-Rosko is senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Trinity Health, one of the largest not-for-profit Catholic health systems in the country.

She leads the development of integrated care models, clinical services, and strategies that improve healthcare operations, quality, safety, and financial outcomes. She is committed to a professional nursing practice environment that supports excellent patient care, advocating for nurses to engage in professional governance and to lead improvement in patient outcomes.

Before her current role, Dr. Norton-Rosko served as senior vice president and chief nurse executive for the University of Maryland Medical System, where she led nursing practice, standards of care, nursing professional development, operational effectiveness, and academic-practice partnerships. In that role she also supported the system’s strategic planning, workforce development, continuous clinical improvement, and high-reliability journey. Her clinical experience spans many years as both an advanced practice nurse and a critical care nurse, and she has held affiliate and adjunct faculty roles at several schools of nursing.

Dr. Norton-Rosko earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University.
