Mike Gleason is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady (FMOL) Health System, a Catholic nonprofit system serving communities across Louisiana and Mississippi.
He joined FMOL Health in 2023 and brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience spanning both the provider and payer sides of the industry. As CFO, he oversees finance and information technology across the system and has led work involving rating agencies and debt management, and over the course of his career he has directed the creation of three health plans under the health systems for which he previously worked.
Before joining FMOL Health, Mr. Gleason served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Baptist Health Care in Florida, and earlier in his career he held finance roles at UF Health Jacksonville and at Humana. Under his financial leadership, FMOL Health achieved a significant operating turnaround, and he and President and Chief Executive Officer E.J. Kuiper were recognized on Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of highly successful CEO-CFO duos.
Mr. Gleason has been named multiple times by Becker’s Hospital Review among the nation’s top hospital and health system CFOs, and he received the 2012 Ultimate CFO Award from the Jacksonville Business Journal. His experience across health plans, providers and managed care underpins his oversight of one of the region’s largest faith-based health systems.
