Meredith Foxx

SVP, Chief Nursing Officer Cleveland Clinic

Meredith Foxx is senior vice president and chief nursing officer of Cleveland Clinic, a role she assumed in October 2020.

She oversees nursing caregivers across the health system’s U.S. and international locations, with responsibility for nursing operations, strategy, practice, and professional growth. Ms. Foxx is celebrating more than 25 years in the nursing profession, over 20 of them at Cleveland Clinic.

Earlier in her tenure she served as associate chief nursing officer for advanced practice nursing, nursing quality, and practice, and in 2017 she was named the organization’s first ACNO of advanced practice nursing, where she standardized reporting and created a leadership governance structure for advanced practice providers. She is a strong advocate for leadership development and mentorship as the foundation of high-quality nursing care. Ms. Foxx is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, and the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses, and she holds leadership positions across several organizations.

She presents frequently at the national and local levels. Ms. Foxx earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from Case Western Reserve University in the executive health care track.
