Matthew Arsenault is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest healthcare organization in the region.
He joined Baptist Health in 2006 and has held a range of finance roles across nearly two decades with the organization before being named to his current position. As CFO, he oversees the finance division, including accounting, financial planning and analytics, risk management, revenue cycle, supply chain and treasury, where he is responsible for the system’s banking relationships and oversight of its investment portfolio.
Before joining Baptist Health, Mr. Arsenault worked in the advisory services divisions of the accounting firms Deloitte & Touche and MBAF. He is a certified public accountant and holds a master’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and a master’s degree in teaching through the University of Portland and the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and economics from the College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Arsenault also serves as an at-large board member, treasurer and chair of the finance committee of The Children’s Trust of Miami-Dade County, a dedicated funding source supporting children and families in the county.
His career reflects a combination of public accounting experience and broad operational oversight across one of Florida’s leading health systems.
