Marschall Runge, MD, PhD, served as executive vice president for Medical Affairs at the University of Michigan, dean of the Medical School and CEO of Michigan Medicine. A physician-scientist with over 250 publications and five patents, he earned his PhD in molecular biology from Vanderbilt University and his MD from Johns Hopkins, where he also trained in internal medicine.
Dr. Runge completed a cardiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and has led transformative change in academic medicine.
