Mark Henrichs serves as associate vice president for finance and chief financial officer of University of Iowa Health Care, the state’s only comprehensive academic medical center.
In this capacity he oversees financial operations across the enterprise and serves on its executive leadership team. Mr. Henrichs has built his career within Iowa’s academic health system, holding finance leadership roles there for roughly two decades, including a period as chief financial officer of UI Hospitals & Clinics before being named to the enterprise CFO role. He stepped into the system’s top finance position in late 2021, initially serving on an interim basis before the appointment was made permanent.
Earlier in his career, he held finance leadership responsibilities at University of Missouri Health Care.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Henrichs also holds a master of health administration. He has been recognized among the academic medical center chief financial officers profiled by Becker’s Healthcare and has spoken publicly on partnership strategy as a defining trend in health system finance.
