Mandy Richards is chief nursing executive and president of children’s health for Intermountain Health, one of the largest integrated health systems in the country, and a member of the system’s enterprise leadership team.
As chief nursing executive, she is responsible for advancing nursing strategy across practice, safety, quality, patient care, and the nursing workforce. As president of children’s health, Dr. Richards leads the strategy and growth of pediatric care across Intermountain’s six-state footprint, working to expand access and advance the care of children and families. She joined Intermountain in 2023 after serving in executive nursing roles at Hartford HealthCare in Connecticut and Allina Health in Minnesota.
A champion for the nursing profession and for children’s health, she helps shape strategy at the highest level of the organization. Dr. Richards holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in leadership, systems, and policy from Yale University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Technology Sydney, and a mini-MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. She was recently named among Becker’s Healthcare’s 2025 hospital and health system CNOs to know.
