Leo Spector is CEO of OrthoCarolina and a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon.
He has enjoyed a 20-year tenure with OrthoCarolina and has held multiple leadership positions there, including chief quality officer, member of the executive committee, chairman of the quality and value committee, and co-fellowship director at the OrthoCarolina Spine Center.
Dr. Spector has served as CEO since 2024 and continues to practice while leading the organization.
In 2020 he earned his MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. He was previously selected to participate in the American Orthopaedic Association Leadership Program, conducted in collaboration with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Dr. Spector currently serves as a board member of the Lumbar Spine Research Society and previously held the position of president of the North Carolina Spine Society.
