Kevin Bozic is the inaugural chair of the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin.
He is an internationally recognized leader in orthopaedic surgery and in value-based health care payment and delivery models. His clinical practice focuses on patients with hip and knee arthritis and painful hip and knee arthroplasties, and he brings more than 20 years of experience in adult reconstructive surgery spanning simple and complex primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty.
Dr. Bozic also has extensive research and policy experience in value-based health care, centered on the design, implementation and evaluation of value-based payment and delivery models. His research has been funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation.
He is the immediate past president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the largest association of musculoskeletal specialists in the country.
