John Warner, MD, became CEO of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in April 2023, overseeing seven hospitals, 20,000 employees and a large ambulatory network serving 60,000 inpatients and 1.69 million outpatients annually. A cardiologist and national healthcare advocate, Dr. Warner focuses on reducing disparities, raising cardiovascular disease awareness and improving care quality. His dual perspective as a practicing physician and health system leader enriches the BHC executives Council’s efforts to elevate perspectives on integrating care and research to improve population health.
