Greg Damron serves as chief financial officer of University of Missouri Health Care, the academic health system based in Columbia, Missouri, a role he assumed in 2024.
As CFO, he leads financial planning and operations for a growing system that includes acute care hospitals, a children’s hospital and expanding access across rural Missouri communities. Mr. Damron brings more than two decades of healthcare finance experience to the role. He most recently served as a principal executive advisor for Warbird Healthcare Advisors, and his prior leadership roles include division chief financial officer for Phoenix-based Banner Health and vice president of finance, treasurer and chief financial officer for Augusta, Georgia-based Augusta University Health.
He began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Damron is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Since joining MU Health Care, he has spoken publicly about the system’s growth strategy and financial performance goals.
