Edward DelSole is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon at Keystone Spine and Pain Management in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
He specializes in complex reconstructive spine surgery for degenerative, deforming, traumatic and oncologic conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. His surgical practice includes decompressions, fusions and motion-sparing procedures as well as reconstruction for cervical, thoracolumbar and spinopelvic trauma.
A Pennsylvania native, Dr. DelSole graduated from the University of Scranton and earned his medical degree from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Orthopaedic Hospital and the Hospital for Joint Diseases, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and Thomas Jefferson University.
Before joining Keystone Spine he began his career as an assistant professor at the Geisinger Musculoskeletal Institute and the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, where he served as clerkship director for musculoskeletal medicine and built the spine research program across Geisinger’s northeast campuses.
Dr. DelSole is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and an active fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles, serves on the editorial boards of four spine journals and lectures internationally.
He is an active member of the Lumbar Spine Research Society and the North American Spine Society.
