Donna Roach is CIO at University of Utah Health in Salt Lake City, where she leads the system’s information technology and digital strategy. She brings more than 35 years of experience in healthcare, including roughly three decades in health IT leadership.
She previously served as Vice President for Information Services at BJC HealthCare and Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, where she oversaw the Epic EHR program across 15 hospitals, a 700-physician medical group and a 2,200-physician faculty practice. She also held CIO responsibilities with Ascension Information Services across multiple markets.
She earned a bachelor’s in health administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master’s in health systems management from Rush University in Chicago. She holds the Certified Healthcare CIO and Certified Digital Health credentials and is a Lifetime Fellow of both CHIME and HIMSS.
She contributes regularly to industry conversations and conferences, with leadership that emphasizes large-scale system implementation, governance, and digital transformation. She is widely respected for her depth of operational experience across multiple health systems.
